Tips: Hand vise structure
Hand vise or hand vice, is a hand-held tool specially designed for clamping small work pieces or thin slices for processing. For example, when filing a long and thin workpiece, you need first clamp the workpiece with a hand vise, and then place it on a bench vise for processing. It is also suitable for holding the workpiece for welding and drilling.
The hand vise has two unparallel clamping surfaces, forming the jaw. The two handles is connected together with a rivet. Between the two handles of vice is provided with a spring to enable the jaw open. A threaded rod passes through the spring and connectthe two handles, integrated with a wing nut to control the open and close of vice jaw.
The specification of hand vice is expressed by jaw length. Common specifications of hand vise are 25 mm, 40 mm, 50 mm, etc.
