Rotary Hammer

Rotary hammer is a power tool used to do heavy-duty tasks such as drilling, shoveling, chiseling or breaking, in concrete, brick, marble or other stone materials. Rotary hammer uses a piston mechanism instead of a clutch, which makes it produce a greater impact force to drill and break more efficiently.

Rotary Hammer Functions

Generally, rotary hammer has 3 functions: Electric drill, electric hammer and electric pick. In addition, rotary hammer can be used in repetitive drilling for large rebar anchor holes, and drilling holes in concrete and masonry walls. When used in hammering mode, rotary hammer can provide a drilling function similar to jackhammer. Powerful hammering action can break the masonry, and the wall can be demolished using the drill bit groove. In addition to drilling and breaking, rotary hammer can turn off the rotation function and only use the impact function. Use chisels or other pointed accessories for small chipping operations.

The Difference between Rotary Hammer and Hammer Drill
