The clamp meter has a maximum jaw opening size of 28mm. If the clamp isn’t fitting around a cable, it’s possible that the cable exceeds this size. Ensure that the cable you are trying to measure falls within the maximum jaw opening limit. If you frequently need to measure larger cables, you might need to use a clamp meter with a larger jaw capacity.
