    Tips: Micropipette Usage Guidelines

    1. Preparation
Before use, ensure the correct micropipette model and volume range are selected, and check the pipette for any visible damage. Choose the appropriate pipette tips for the desired volume. Verify that the pipette is calibrated and in good working condition before use.
    2. Setting the Desired Volume
Adjust the pipette volume by turning the volume control knob to the desired setting. Make sure the volume indicator is correctly aligned. Avoid setting the pipette to extreme volume ranges to maintain accuracy. Ensure the pipette has been recently calibrated before use.
    3. Pipetting Procedure
Attach the appropriate tip securely to the pipette. To aspirate liquid, press the plunger to the first stop and gently release it to draw up the liquid. Avoid rapid plunger release to prevent air bubbles. After positioning the tip in the target container, press the plunger to the second stop to dispense all the liquid. Dispose of the used tip and clean the pipette as needed.
    4. Post-Use Handling & Maintenance
After use, discard the tip to avoid cross-contamination. Clean the pipette regularly, especially if used with viscous or corrosive liquids. Perform calibration every 6–12 months, and check the pipette for wear or damage that may require replacement parts.
    5. Safety & Best Practices
Always wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE), such as gloves and safety glasses, when using the micropipette. Avoid creating air bubbles by releasing the plunger slowly. Always use a new tip for each sample to prevent contamination and ensure accurate results.

By following these standard operating procedures, you can ensure accurate and reliable results while prolonging the lifespan of your micropipette. Proper handling, maintenance, and calibration are essential for optimal performance.
