Tips: How to use a plastering trowel?
1. Before use
The type and size of trowel should be selected according to the specific construction requirments. Different construction objects are generally equipped with different types of trowels to ensure the effectiveness of construction. For example, a square tooth trowel should be used when laying mosaic tiles. The tiles sticking is not firmly if a flat-edged trowel is used.
2. Blending putty and cement
If you use a plastering trowel to mix putty and cement, you should use it together with a putty knife. Put the putty slurry and cement slurry on the back of the trowel blade, and then use a putty knife to scrape and mix the putty slurry or cement slurry evenly on the blade.
3. Smooth the wall
When troweling the wall with cement or putty, try to keep it as continuous as possible, otherwise it is easy to leave irregular slurry on the surface, which is unsightly and also affects the construction effect. It is better to apply a plastering trowel to fill the whole surface to ensure that the thickness of the cement layer or putty layer is equivalent.
