Tips: Working principle of pliers
The basic principle of pliers is the use of two levers, connected with a rivet at a point in the middle, so that the two ends can move relative to each other. As long as one end is operated with one hand, the other end can grip the object. In order to reduce the user's effort in operation, according to the mechanical lever principle, the handle of the pliers is usually longer than the head of the pliers. In this way, a stronger clamping force can be obtained with less force to meet the use requirements. This translates smaller external forces, such as the hand force applied to the pliers arm, into greater force, allowing the pliers to clamp or shear effectively. When the force applied to the pliers handle increases with the lever ratio, the force applied to the pliers jaw produces a force that holds and moves. To generate a large external force, the distance from the center of the pliers riveting position to the handle must be as long as possible, and the distance from the hold or shear point to the center of the riveting position must be as short as possible. But many pliers do not greatly increase hand power because they simply make it easier to operate in difficult areas, such as electronics assembly and electronics and precision engineering applications.
